Overview
Café de Olla, which translates to pot coffee, named after the traditional pots, Ollas, that are used to brew the rich and savory drink. It is prepared by brewing coffee with spices and sweetening it with unrefined cane sugar called panela.
Ingredients
- 4 cups of water
- 1 cup of finely ground Fuerte Blend
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 4-6 whole cloves
- Panela or brown sugar to taste

INSTRUCTIONS
1.
In a large pot, combine water, cinnamon stick, and cloves.

Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for about 5 minutes to infuse the flavors of the spices.

Add the ground Fuerte Blend coffee and panela or brown sugar to the pot.

Stir well to combine the ingredients and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes. Then remove the pot from the heat and allow the coffee to steep for a few minutes.

Strain the coffee into cups or mugs to remove any solids from the brew (optional).
Serve the café de olla hot and savor the rich, aromatic flavors.
