Cold Brew Every Which Way
Three cold brew recipes, with three methods
It’s summertime!
Stay cool all summer with icy cold brews that are so good. Making cold brew at home is pretty simple; fancy cold brew blends are unnecessary! Just use ground coffee and you’ll be golden. Check out three easy-to-make cold brew recipes below that use three different methods and make your summer fantástico.
Cold Brew con Mason Jar
This is a classic method. You’ll need a mason jar with a lid to get started.
Los Ingredientes:
- 1 cup of any ground coffee, but we suggest the Tradicional blend.
- 4 cups filtered water
Las Instrucciones:
- Mix coffee grounds and water in the mason jar.
- Stir gently and thoroughly to saturate all your coffee grounds.
- Seal the jar and refrigerate for 12-24 hours (this is the cold brewing part!).
- Strain through with a fine mesh, a cheesecloth or a coffee filter.
- Pour your strained café over ice and add milk or sweetener if you want.

The Coffee Bag Method
Like tea bags, but coffee instead! This approach requires empty tea bags or coffee filters, and string.
Los Ingredientes:
- 1/2 cup ground coffee! Try our Fuerte blend for this one.
- 2 cups water
Las Instrucciones:
- Grab large, empty tea bags or make your own using coffee filters.
- Fill your bags with coffee until you’ve used a ½ cup of ground coffee.
- Place the bags in a pitcher, jar or container filled with water.
- Refrigerate for 12-24 hours.
- Take out the bags (there’s no need to strain with this method!).
- Serve your cold brew café and enjoy.

French Press
Try this method if you have a French press at home and want to make cold coffee!
Los Ingredientes:
- 1 cup of ground coffee—try the Tradicional blend with this
- 4 cups cold water
Las Instrucciones:
- Add your ground coffee to your French press.
- Pour cold water into the French press and stir.
- Don’t press the plunger, wait!
- Refrigerate for 12-24 hours—French press and all!
- Then, slowly press the plunger down once you remove your press from the fridge.
- Pour your coffee out and serve. That’s it!
