Latin American Travel Guide

GUIDE

Latinoamérica is a large region of the world, including two continents and many islands. From cloud forests, alps and white sand beaches, the diversity in climates and trips can be a little overwhelming. Here is a list of some of our favorite spots – make sure to send us pics if you go!

🌴 For the Nature Lovers: Yasuní National Park, Ecuador

Yasuní National Park is Ecuador’s Amazon basin, and has one of the most diverse biospheres in the world, with hundreds of animal species and thousands of plant species. For nature lovers, Yasuní simply is a place like no other. With plenty of nature lodges and tours for explorers, it is also a unique location for a once-in-a-lifetime vacation. Check it out!

🏔️ For the Adventure Seekers: Ushuaia, Argentina

Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the world, and the capital of Argentina’s Tierra Del Fuego Province, which translates to land of fire – the city has also been nicknamed the end of the world. It is only 680 miles away from Antarctica and sits between a mountain range, an Atlantic channel, and is shrouded in subpolar forests, a very unique climate. For those who want to go to the ends of the earth, Ushuaia is a good place to start.

🌺For the History Buffs: Mexico City, Mexico

While this recommendation may seem the most obvious, CDMX really can’t be recommended enough. It is the biggest North American city population, filled with incredible views, venues for music and the arts, food, and more, but it’s deep rich history is one of the city’s major attractions as well. First built by the Mexica people in the 1300s, there is a wealth of pre-columbian history in the city (check out the Teotihuacan Pyramids) and Spanish Colonial history (explore the Plaza de la Constitución). The city really has everything a traveler needs.

🏖️For the Beach Babes: Playa Conchal, Costa Rica

Costa Rica’s Pacific coast is famous for its beautiful beaches, pacific waves perfect for surfing, and magnificent mountainous coastlines. Playa Conchal is one of Costa Rica’s more popular beach haunts, but for good reason: it has clear blue waters, a seabed made entirely of shells (ideal for collectors), is surrounded by coves and caves great for snorkeling, and sunny days great for sailing. Experience the sweeter side of life here.
